Exciting Banquet Chef opportunity is at our Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Norwood, MA!
This management, hands-on position has overall responsibility for coordinating the preparation, plating and ensuring the quality of food items for banquet events. The Banquet Chef reports to the Executive Chef and works calmly and effectively with front of the house management and catering sales staff to ensure smooth, high quality events.
The position requires the use of your creativity, while staying current with trends to develop new menu concepts, prepare, test, and control new menu items and maintain updated and accurate recipes. The role requires that you review the following day’s activities, prepare prep lists and lead a banquet production team to complete assigned work. The Banquet Chef will also participate in all aspects of personnel management including: interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high volume hotel banquet operations
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Culinary coursework and degree in hotel/restaurant management preferred
