The Tiffany Ballroom at Four Points by Sheraton Norwood has the pleasure of hosting a wide range of occasions. Among them, weddings stand out as the most grand and complex events we have the honor of hosting. We know wedding planning timeline can seem like a daunting task! We would like to help make the process as easy and stress-free as possible. One of the most important aspects of a wedding planning timeline is setting a schedule. By working on your wedding timeline process, you can ensure that everything is on track and that your big day will go smoothly. Read on for some tips on when to get started, a little timeline, and a few things to consider when planning.

Wedding Planning Timeline: 12 months out!

At this point, it’s time to start delving into the details of the event by creating a guest list. This will in turn will help you with – setting a budget. These initial steps will provide a solid foundation for the planning process. Additionally, it’s wise to begin researching and booking venues and vendors, such as photographers and caterers, to secure the best options available for those prime wedding dates. New England weddings can book up to 16-months in advance!

Wedding Planning Timeline: 9 months out!

As you approach the 9 month mark in your wedding planning timeline, it’s important to start finalizing some of the major details. With your venue booked, it is time to secure your wedding officiant, photographer, videographer and DJ. Also, start thinking about transportation for you and your guests. If you’re having a lot of out-of-town guests, you may want to secure a block of rooms. Booking at the Tiffany Ballroom at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood makes that super easy as we can offer a block of hotel rooms on site. At 9-months, it’s also a good idea to begin ordering your invitations, save-the-dates cards, and other printed materials.

Wedding Planning Timeline: 6 months out!

Now is the time to start finalizing the details for your big day. With six months to go, it’s time to officially announce your wedding date to your guests. Send out save-the-date cards or emails to give your loved one’s ample time to plan and make travel arrangements.

Next, you will want to schedule your menu tasting with our experienced culinary team. This will allow you to sample our delicious cuisine and make any necessary adjustments to your wedding menu. Additionally, it will be time to start thinking about your wedding day timeline and logistics.

At 6 months, you should schedule a meeting with your wedding officiant to start planning the ceremony. It’s important to meet with your officiant beforehand to discuss the order of events, vows, and any special rituals or readings you’d like to include. Start to consider the overall atmosphere and ambiance you want to create during this significant moment. Don’t forget to book your hair and makeup appointments. Confirm any other vendors you’re going to have helping you out on that day including rental items like photo booths or special uplighting.

Wedding Planning Timeline: 3 months out!

As we approach the 3-month mark, it’s time to start thinking about the little details that will make your wedding day special. The menu should be finalized and make sure your caterer knows about any dietary restrictions there may be. Also, now is the time to start considering wedding favors, centerpieces (if you are doing more than just included floral packages). Firm up any DIY projects you may have planned.

With the wedding day fast approaching, it’s time to start planning your honeymoon. Research potential destinations, book flights and accommodations. Create an itinerary for your romantic getaway! Don’t forget to share your honeymoon registry with your guests, giving them the option to contribute to your dream vacation.

Lastly, at 3 months, you may also want to update your wedding website to keep your guests informed about the details of your wedding. On your wedding website include information about the venue, accommodations, registry, and any other pertinent details.

Wedding Planning Timeline: 2 months out!

It’s now time to finalize all the details of your ceremony and reception. Meet with your florist to discuss floral arrangements and decorations specifics. Coordinate with your entertainment to create a playlist that reflects your top song picks to keep your guests on the dance floor.

It’s also time to schedule your hair and makeup trials to ensure that you look and feel your best on your special day. Don’t forget to communicate any specific requests or preferences to your stylists.

Wedding Planning Timeline: 1 month out:

You’ve made it to the 1-month mark, it’s time to finalize all of the details. It’s time to make final confirmations with all your vendors and make sure everyone is on the same page. Start organizing your RSVPs and finalizing your seating chart. And, finally, it’s time to get and fill out your marriage license in Massachusetts so it is ready to file.
